We deliberately have no statutory accreditation. Your statutory health insurer therefore does not cover our services — not even in part. That is the precondition for us being able to take the time a treatment really needs.
Treatment as a self-payer is possible
Even if you have statutory insurance, you can be treated here. You then deliberately decide to pay for the treatment yourself. We record this in writing before treatment begins, so that both sides have clarity.

Before every treatment you receive a treatment and cost plan under the German dental fee schedule (GOZ) — with all items, the laboratory costs and, where useful, treatment alternatives. No surprises on the invoice.
You decide — without pressure
You take the cost plan home with you. If you have private supplementary insurance, you can submit it there in advance and have the reimbursement confirmed. And if you decide against the treatment in the end, that is entirely fine — the consultation commits you to nothing.

What is the difference between a private practice and an ordinary dental practice?
In a private dental practice the pacing is different: we treat on the principle of “one dentist – one patient”, without parallel treatments and without time pressure. That allows more thorough diagnostics, longer treatment times and the consistent use of the operating microscope and rubber dam. Billing is under the German dental fee schedule (GOZ).
Do you bill through the statutory health insurance?
No. We are a purely private practice without statutory accreditation and do not bill through the statutory health insurance — not even in part. All services are billed privately under the German dental fee schedule (GOZ).
Can I still come to you if I have statutory insurance?
Yes, that is possible — you then bear the costs yourself. Many of our patients deliberately choose this because they want the time, diagnostics and precision of a private practice. Before treatment begins you receive a written treatment and cost plan with all items, and we record the private treatment in writing. So you know exactly what amount is coming before we start — and you can calmly decide against it.
Do I find out the costs before treatment begins?
Always. After the examination we draw up a treatment and cost plan under GOZ in which every item is listed — including the laboratory costs from our own dental laboratory. Where there are sensible alternatives, we set them out with their respective costs. You take the plan home; privately insured patients and those entitled to public-sector allowance can submit it to their insurer in advance. We only begin once you agree. For extensive restorations, feel free to ask us about instalments.
What does periodontitis treatment cost in Wuppertal?
The effort depends on how many teeth are affected, how deep the gum pockets are and whether surgery or gum grafting is additionally required. That is why we do not quote flat prices but draw up an individual cost plan after the examination — pocket measurement, X-ray and, if needed, bacterial testing. How does jaw joint diagnostics with the Gamma Condylograph work?
With the condylograph the actual movement paths of your jaw joints are recorded while you open and close your mouth and move the lower jaw sideways. The measurement is painless and usually takes about an hour. From the data we deduce whether a craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD) is present and what an individually calculated splint needs to look like.
How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene, inflammation-free gums and regular aftercare, implants last many years to decades. Three things are decisive: healthy tooth-supporting structures before the procedure — which is why we always treat periodontitis first — precise placement of the implant and a precisely fitting restoration.
